Local play first, optional analytics only
Effective date: August 9, 2026. The game does not require an account. It does not request camera, microphone, location, payment, USB, or contact permissions. Pad presses are processed in the page to score the current rhythm cue.
Data stored in your browser
The highest accuracy for each pattern, one calibration offset, and the optional analytics choice are stored with localStorage. These values remain on the current browser profile until you clear site data. Scores, cue timing deltas, calibration taps, best combos, and free-drum strikes are not sent by the analytics bridge.
Optional Google Analytics 4
No Google script loads by default or after selecting No thanks. If you select Allow, the page may load Google Analytics 4 for this site’s separate property and send a page view plus limited action names such as practice started, beat hit, practice completed, replay, free drum opened, or calibration completed. The site-specific measurement identifier is G-131Y0CRETS, tied only to the Lantern Roar Rhythm web stream. Enhanced measurement is disabled. The consent bridge sends a page view and approved action names only after Allow; it does not forward raw gameplay values.
The bridge deliberately drops game-event parameters before forwarding. It does not forward scores, millisecond timing, calibration values, routine results, IP-derived gameplay profiles, or local bests. Google may process technical request information under its own terms when analytics is allowed. We do not use advertising features, account linking, or cross-site personalization.
Consent and withdrawal
Your choice is stored locally. You can withdraw a previous Allow decision below. Withdrawal changes consent to denied, removes the loader where possible, disables future event forwarding, and attempts to expire Google Analytics cookies for this host. Browser or network behavior may limit immediate cookie removal, so clearing site data remains the strongest local reset.
Hosting logs and retention
Cloudflare Pages may create limited security and delivery logs as part of hosting the site. Those platform logs are not game profiles and are not combined here with local scores. This project does not operate a gameplay database, email list, advertising account, or user-upload system.
Children and contact
The game avoids account creation and does not knowingly ask a child for personal information. A parent or guardian can block optional analytics by choosing No thanks or through browser controls. Privacy questions can be raised through the public operator GitHub profile or the contact page.
